This painting has a visual power that arises from the contrast between the structured and the spontaneous. The support, with its horizontal grooves, imposes an almost industrial texture, while the paint unfolds freely, as if challenging that rigidity.
The red and yellow in the center create a vibrant vertical axis, almost like a column of energy that breaks with the colder background of blues and whites. There is an intention to mediate between warmth and coldness.
